Hi Jim,
I replaced my 4 foot fluorescents in about a dozen fixtures with
LEDs with excellent success. I stripped all of the original
electrical guts out of the fixtures, it was a trivial effort
and less expensive that retaining the original guts.
Unfortunately my LED manufacturer is no longer business.
But I bought enough spare tubes to last for many, many years
(In five years I've not yet had any lamp failures)
Suggest you purchase a few samples and evaluate them. I did that
be wrapping a wire around the LED tubes and connecting it to a
spectrum analyzer
Good luck

Subject: [RFI] Replacement For Fluorescent Tubes
I need to replace bulbs in existing 4-ft T8 magnetic fixtures. I'd like
to do it with no mods to the fixtures. Should I stick with fluorescents,
or can anyone recommend a good LED replacement?
Thanks and 73, Jim K9YC
