I must ask a more basic question. Specifically under what part of CFR47,
if any, do home solar installations fall? They're not ITE. They're not
ISM. They're not home appliances (which are exempt). Specifically, where
do they fall?
I've worked EMC/RFI for some 35+ years usually associated with ITE. But
anything that is directly or can be directly connected to the power grid is
exempt by FCC rules. Each home solar installation is typically not grid
connected. Some have the option of selling power back to the grid which is
grid connected. I've never found a 'home', Part 15 or otherwise, in the
FCC rules for home solar installation. Please enlighten me!!
