In years past, I have had great success putting .01 uf 1 KV disc capacitors
in RFI-affected phones and wall jacks.
The caps were installed right where the phone line enters the phone in
parallel with the telco pair.
Of course, back then phones had screws for the line connection. Modem
phones have modular jacks and the caps have to be soldered in.
Depending on the nature of the equipment and the user, common mode chokes
may be simpler and are not invasive. Disc caps are cheap and effective tho
more challenging to apply.
