Hi,
If I remember correctly there was a brief discussion about DirecTV SWM
systems and RFI generation...
Based on that discussion I had occasion to discuss RFI with an installer
who actually knew what he was talking about as it relates to the SWM
system I have, which has zero RFI... I asked him why one system might
have RFI, and others not... He suggested teh following steps:
1. Make sure all splitters have termination on unused ports.
2. Make sure all items are grounded as per code.
3. Make sure all cable connections are tight as can be.
He indicated that the SWM system uses the ENTIRE HF spectrum for
communications... 2 through 30 MHz. Knowing this may help someone so I
thought I'd post it here...
