I suspect that's an oversimplification. I can believe that there's a
high pass filter in front of the detector, but any responsible design
should include a reasonable high frequency limit.
BUT -- it is NOT the responsibility of the ham to take ANY steps to
solve this problem. There is NOTHING he can do to change his station to
solve the problem other than reducing power or going QRT, and neither is
a reasonable expectation.
