Yes. Very likely. In South Amherst Ohio my receiving was hindered by a 345kV
line that was actually pretty quiet, and it was a mile away. In rainy
weather, the noise was S9 on 160 and 80 on Beverages pointed at that line.
Would something like a MFJ or JPS noise canceller work on that type of

The MFJ canceller is significantly better than other types IF they build it
right. It should work OK for you if you can get a sense antenna off in the
direction of that power line.
