I think you will have trouble doing all that in one antenna.
I suggest three antennas--BC, 80m and 40m. Unless you need to look
at frequencies in between as well.
While the individual loops can be made to tune over a fair range,
I'm less certain how far you can maintain the null once set.
Good luck and 73

Subject: [RFI] ALL-BAND RFI SNOOP ANTENNA for NOISE
Hi Gents,
I want to build a snoop antenna to track down some
RFI. I want to listen from the bottom of the AM broadcast
band to perhaps 7 mhz and I want the antenna to be
directional, portable, hand-held...a cardioid pattern will do.
I'm thinking of maybe using a untuned loop antenna with
a "sense" antenna. (Of course a rather robust pre-amp would be
needed.)
Any suggestions on the type of antenna to use or not use?
I would be using this with the very portable FT-817.
Thanks,
Charlie
