The easy way to get rid of the problem (and usually works) is to use some
F82-77 ferrite toroids. Unplug the cable from the phone, wind it three
times through the core and plug back in. Phones with power cords (answering
machines, wireless phones) need the same treatment on the power cord. Does
not affect operation of the phone at all. Ed at ARRL uses F140-77 cores.
