Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Oct 31 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low this period. All three regions with spots produced C-class flare activity, and were either stable or in decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected.

Forecast: Solar activity is likely to be low over 31 Oct-02 Nov.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 3,720 pfu observed at 30/1735 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 31 Oct-02 Nov and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Continued, but weakening positive polarity CH HSS influences prevailed this period. Total field strength was steady near 5 nT and Bz ranged from +4/-5 nT. Wind speeds decreased gradually from between 500-550 km/s early this period to between 450-500 km/s by the end of the period.

Forecast: Enhanced solar wind conditions are expected to prevail over 31 Oct-02 Nov due to sustained positive polarity CH HSS influences.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to active under positive polarity CH HSS influences.

Forecast: Active conditions are expected on 31 Oct-02 Nov due to positive polarity CH HSS influences and a turbulent solar wind environment.
