Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Jul 31 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Regions 3062 (S25W72, Hsx/alpha) and 3068 (S15E22, Dao/beta) were quiet and otherwise unremarkable. Region 3069 (S18W29, Axx/alpha) was numbered this period, but it too was quiet. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels with a chance for C-class flares on 31 Jul - 02 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels with isolated periods of high levels. Maximum flux reached 1,070 pfu at 30/1545 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate on 31 Jul - 02 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were slightly enhanced with total field increasing from 7-8 nT to 10-11 nT. Solar wind speed ranged from ~320-3756 km/s. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in a negative sector.

Forecast: Weak enhancements are expected to continue through 31 Jul due to an impending solar sector boundary crossing followed by a positive polarity CH HSS. HSS activity is expected to slowly diminish on 01-02 Aug.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at unsettled to active levels late 31 Jul due to HSS effects. Mostly quiet conditions are expected on 01-02 Aug.
