Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Oct 25 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2886 (S19W22, Hsx/alpha) was quiet and unchanged. Region 2887 (S25E37, Dko/beta) produced multiple B-class flares during the period and began to show signs of decay. New Region 2888 (S15E61, Axx/alpha) was numbered this period, but was otherwise unremarkable. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels, with a chance for C-class flare activity and a slight chance for R1-R2 (Minor-Moderate) radio blackout conditions, over 25-27 Oct.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels over 25-27 Oct and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at background levels. Solar wind speed values ranged between 300-375 km/s, total field strength varied between 2-6 nT, and Bz ranged between -4/+5 nT. The phi angle was in a predominately negative sector.

Forecast: Background solar wind conditions are expected to prevail over 25-26 Oct. A slight enhancement in wind parameters is expected on 27 Oct as an isolated, negative polarity CH HSS moves into a geoeffective position.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Quiet conditions are expected to prevail over 25-26 Oct. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 27 Oct due to weak, negative polarity CH HSS influence.
