Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Aug 11 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at very low levels. Two spots were observed on the visible disk, but both remain unnumbered due to lack of development and indications of slight decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 11-13 Aug.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels while the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 11-13 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected the continued influence from a negative polarity CH HSS. Total field reached 8 nT, the Bz component saw a maximum southward deflection to -6 nT, and wind speeds peaked at 508 km/s. The phi angle was predominantly in a negative solar sector, with isolated oscillations into a positive orientation.

Forecast: Slight enhancements in the IMF are possible on 11 Aug due to weak, tenuous -CH HSS influence. Ambient, background-like conditions are expected to prevail 12-13 Aug.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet with an isolated unsettled period.

Forecast: Quiet to isolated unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected to persist on 11 Aug due to continued weak -CH HSS effects. Quiet conditions are expected on 12-13 Aug.
