Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Jun 04 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2827 (N11W34, Cso/beta) saw periodic development of some intermediate and trailer spots again this period. It was responsible for a few B-level enhancements, including a B4 flare at 04/0821 UTC. Region 2829 (S18E29, Cao/beta) exhibited spot growth near the main leader spot, with those spots consolidating as the period progressed. This region also produced a few B-level enhancements over the period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low, with a slight chance for C-class flares, on 04-06 Jun.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 04-06 Jun and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were near background levels during the period. Total field was less than 10 nT, the Bz component fluctuated between +6 nT and -5 nT, and wind speeds ranged from 282 km/s to 327 km/s. Phi was variable to start the period, but settled into a mostly positive solar sector after 03/1830 UTC.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are still likely to see enhancements due to the potential influence of a negative polarity CH HSS on 04 Jun. A return to mostly ambient conditions is expected on 05-06 Jun.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Predominantly quiet to unsettled conditions are expected 04 Jun due to the possible influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Quiet conditions are expected to prevail 05-06 Jun.
