Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 May 04 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. There were no sunspots or Earth-directed CMEs.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels for the next three days (04-06 May).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through 06 May. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment reflected waning +CH HSS influence. Total field ranged 2-7 nT, the Bz component was +/- 4 nT, and wind speeds decreased from near 500 km/s to near 430 km/s by periods end. Phi was predominantly in a positive solar sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be slightly enhanced through 04 May with ongoing CH HSS activity and return to a more ambient, background-like regime on 05-06 May.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Quiet to unsettled levels, with a chance for an isolated active period, are expected on 04 May with CH HSS activity. Mostly quiet conditions are anticipated thereafter (05-06 May).
