Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Feb 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk was spotless. There were no Earth-directed CMEs observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low on 07-09 Feb.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 1,263 pfu at 06/1505 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at moderate to high levels throughout the forecast period (07-09 Feb). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected the arrival of the anticipated positive polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed peaked at around 540 km/s. Total field increased to a period maximum of 13 nT. The Bz component dropped to near -10 nT. Phi angle was predominately negative until a SSBC at 06/1650 UTC when the phi orientation switched to a dominant positive sector.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to reflect enhanced but waning conditions throughout the forecast period (07-09 Feb) as positive polarity CH HSS effects prevail.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field ranged from quiet to minor storm (G1) activity levels due to CH HSS effects.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to be at quiet to active levels on the remainder of 07 Feb and 08 Feb. Quiet to unsettled 09 Feb due to CH HSS influence.
