Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Nov 26 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity remained at low levels this period. Region 2786 (S17E47, Cki/beta) exhibited slight growth and produced a C1 flare at 26/0655 UTC. Region 2783 (S21W40, Cso/beta) and Region 2785 (S21E25, Hsx/alpha) were both stable and inactive. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery during the summary period.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels, with a chance for C-flares on 26-28 Nov.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to high levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 26-28 Nov due to CH HSS influence. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels all three days.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected a near background solar wind regime. Solar wind speeds averaged near 375 km/s, total field strength was at or below 5 nT, and the Bz component was at benign values. Phi angle was variable.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to observe weak enhancements from the positive polarity extensions of the north polar crown from 26 Nov into the first half of 27 Nov. These enhancements are expected to begin tapering off late on 27 Nov, and a return to mostly quiet conditions is expected by 28 Nov.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels throughout the forecast period (26-28 Nov).
