Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Sep 02 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low under a spotless visible disk. No Earth directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 02-04 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 02-04 Sep, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters continued elevated, but waning, in response to CH HSS influence. Solar wind speed began near 650 km/s, then settled in near 515 km/s for the remainder of the period. Total field averaged near 4 nT, while the Bz component saw a maximum southward deflection to -4 nT. Phi angle was oriented in a predominantly positive (away) solar sector through 01/1400 UTC when it switched to a negative (towards) orientation.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain enhanced on 02-03 Sep as CH HSS influence persists. By 04 Sep, the CH HSS should move out of its geoeffective location, lessening its effects on the solar wind environment.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field ranged from quiet to unsettled from waning CH activity.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to active levels, with a chance for an isolated G1 (Minor) storm period, on 02 Sep as CH HSS effects persist. A return to mostly unsettled levels is expected by late 03 Sep, becoming mostly quiet by 04 Sep Sep, as the coronal hole moves out of its geoeffective position.
