Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Feb 01 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2757 (N03W76, Hrx/alpha) was stable. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 01-03 Feb.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: Both the greater than 2 MeV electron flux and 10 MeV proton flux remained below event thresholds this period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 01-03 Feb. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were enhanced under the influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed began the period enhanced with speeds between 475 to 535 km/s. After about 31/2100 UTC, speeds decreased to an average of about 475 km/s. Total field ranged from 2-4 nT while the Bz component varied between +/-3 nT. Phi was primarily oriented in a negative (towards) solar sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to continue to be slightly enhanced from a negative polarity CH HSS through the remainder of 01 Feb. A gradual decrease to nominal levels is expected on 02-03 Feb.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to isolated unsettled levels for the remainder of 01 Feb as CH HSS effects slowly wane. Mostly quiet conditions are expected on 02-03 Feb as HSS effects further diminish.
