Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Dec 26 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low this period. Region 2753 (S30E26, Axx/alpha) and Region 2754 (N25W48, Axx/alpha), the only 2 numbered regions on the disk, were inactive, and have exhibited significant decay over the period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 26-28 Dec.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: Both the greater than 2 MeV electron flux and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux were below event thresholds throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through the forecast period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters became slightly enhanced this period due to a SSBC and arrival of weak, negative polarity CH HSS influence. Wind speeds increased from ambient levels to ~400 km/s. Total field was 2-9 nT, and the Bz component underwent a brief, southward deflection of -6 nT. Phi angle became mostly negative around 25/1713 UTC.

Forecast: Weak, negative polarity CH HSS influence is anticipated to continue over the course of 26 Dec. Parameters are anticipated to settle back to normal, background levels on 27-28 Dec.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: Isolated unsettled conditions are possible on 26 Dec due to negative polarity, CH HSS effects. Otherwise, quiet conditions are expected the next three days (26-28 Dec).
