Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 May 10 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at very low levels. Region 2740 (N08W07, Hax/alpha) exhibited signs of further decay, and was inactive over the past 24 hours. Region 2741 (N06E31, Hsx/alpha) remained quiescent throughout the period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 10-12 May, with a slight chance for an isolated C-class flare.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 10-12 May. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue unchanged at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected a near background solar wind regime. Solar wind speeds averaged near 380 km/s, total field strength was near 4 nT, Bz ranged from +3/-4 nT, and the phi angle was predominantly negative.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to continue at near background levels through 10 May until the anticipated arrival of the 06 May CME on 11 May. Possible enhancements in the solar wind environment are expected to continue from 11 May to 12 May, but weaken by the end of the period.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet for the remainder of 10 May. Unsettled to active levels are possible on 11-12 May with the anticipated arrival of the 6 May CME.
