Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Jan 22 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. New Region 2733 (N07E28, Bxo/beta) was numbered but was absent of significant flare activity. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low on 22-24 Jan.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to remain at normal levels on 22-23 Jan, with a chance for moderate to high levels on 24 Jan due to CH HSS influence. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels all three days.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected background conditions.

Forecast: Background solar wind conditions are expected to continue for the remainder of 22 Jan. CIR impacts in advance of a recurrent, positive polarity CH HSS are expected on 23 Jan with persistent influence on 24 Jan. Solar sector boundary change indications are expected prior to CH HSS arrival.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain mostly quiet on 22 Jan. Unsettled to active levels are expected on 23 Jan due to the aforementioned CIR arrival. G1 (Minor) storm levels are likely on 24 Jan as the positive polarity CH HSS moves into a geoeffective position.
