Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low under a spotless solar disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 07-09 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a peak flux of 1,884 pfu observed at 06/2325 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate levels on 07-09 Sep. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated the onset of a negative polarity CH HSS. A SSBC was observed at approximately 06/2100 UTC transitioning from a positive to a negative sector. Total field increased to a maximum of 12 nT at 07/0600 UTC while the Bz component was between +10/-8 nT. Solar wind speed increased from approximately 375 km/s to near 500 km/s.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to continue to be enhanced through 08 Sep due to the influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. A background solar wind environment is expected on 09 Sep with the return of a nominal solar wind regime.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to reach unsettled to active levels on 07 Sep, with unsettled levels expected on 08 Sep, due to the influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Generally quiet conditions are expected on 09 Sep with the return of a nominal solar wind regime.
