Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 03 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk remained spotless. A faint CME was observed lifting off the NE quadrant in SOHO/LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 imagery beginning at 02/1924 UTC. The CME was determined to be backsided. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 03-05 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a peak flux of 16,682 pfu at 02/1940 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 03-04 Sep and moderate levels are expected on 05 Sep. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels over the period with solar wind speeds between 310-355 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-5 nT while the Bz component was between +/-4 nT. Phi angle was variable throughout the period.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be at or near nominal levels for the forecast period (03-05 Sep).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Generally quiet conditions are expected on 03-05 Sep under a nominal solar wind regime.
