Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 02 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low under a spotless solar disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 02-04 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a peak flux of 20,417 pfu observed at 01/2005 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 02-04 Sep. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters continued at nominal levels over the period with solar wind speed declining from approximately 412 km/s to near 315 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-4 nT while the Bz component was between +2/-3 nT. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in a positive (away) sector until 02/0110 UTC when it became variable.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to become slightly enhanced on 03 Sep due to an anticipated solar sector boundary crossing. A background solar wind environment is expected on 02 and 04 Sep.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be generally quiet on 02 and 04 Sep under a nominal solar wind regime. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on 03 Sep due to an anticipated solar sector boundary crossing.
