Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Aug 14 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. New Region 2718 (S08E55, Axx/alpha) was numbered during the period, but remained inactive. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 14-16 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal levels all three days (14-16 Aug). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to continue at near-background levels through day one. Solar wind parameters are expected to become enhanced early on 15 Aug due to the effects of a CIR preceding the onset of a positive polarity CH HSS. Enhanced conditions are expected to continue into 16 Aug as CH HSS influence persists.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet on 14 Aug under a nominal solar wind regime. Active conditions are expected on 15-16 Aug due to the effects of a CIR and subsequent positive polarity CH HSS.
