Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jul 06 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. There were no sunspots on the visible disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels for the next three days (06-08 Jul).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels this period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels this period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels over the next three days (06-08 Jul). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment was enhanced early in the period, but has returned to nominal levels. Solar wind speed has been between 425 and 450 km/s. Total field was elevated to 11 nT early, before settling near 5 nT for the latter half of the period. Bz deflected southward to -9 nT early, then remained mostly northward through the rest of the period. The phi angle varied between positive and negative sectors.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to decrease to background levels over the next 24 hours (06 Jun). Days two and three (07-08 Jun) are likely to be at background levels with a chance for active levels being reached as a result of periodic influences from the HCS and the northern crown, CH HSS.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet then became active late day, with one period of G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storming observed for the 05/1800-2100 UTC synoptic period.

Forecast: Unsettled to active conditions are expected on day one (06 Jul). The next two days (07-08 Jul) are likely to be at quiet levels, with occasional unsettled and active periods, as a result of minor enhancements in the solar wind.
