Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jun 02 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2712 (N14W42, Cro/beta) produced multiple low-level B-class flares this period but began to decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery. Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels with a slight chance for isolated C-class flare activity over the next three days (02-04 Jun).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a peak flux of 4,500 pfu observed at 01/2235 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels each of the next three days (02-04 Jun) and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected the continued influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speeds began the period near 600 km/s and increased to a peak of around 800 km/s by mid-period, after which speed values began to decrease to end-of-period values near 650 km/s. Total field strength values were mostly steady near 5 nT and Bz briefly reached -5 nT early in the period.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain enhanced over the next three days (02-04 Jun) under continued CH HSS influence.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was unsettled to active this period with an isolated period of G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm conditions observed between 01/1200-1500 UTC.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to reach G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm levels on day one (02 Jun) and active levels on days two and three (03-04 Jun) as CH HSS influence persists.
