Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2017 Dec 28 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low all three days (28-30 Dec).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels, with a max flux of 1,810 pfu at 27/1825 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at moderate to high levels on all three days (28-30 Dec). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels all three days.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of nominal conditions. Solar wind speeds ranged between 400 to 450 km/s. Total field strength was between 3 and 9 nT. The Bz component ranged between +/- 5 nT. The phi angle was mostly negative.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to be at nominal levels all three days (28-30 Dec).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to mostly quiet on all three days (28-30 Dec).
