Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2016 Aug 05 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low with a C1 flare at 05/1012 UTC from Region 2572 (N14W38, Bxo/beta). 2572 contributed several B-class flares and grew in both its spot count and area during the summary period. The other spotted region on the visible disk, Region 2571 (N14E28, Bxo/beta) was stable and unremarkable. No Earth directed CMEs occurred during the period.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels over the next three days (05-07 Aug).

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to high levels for days one through three (05-07 Aug). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period (05-07 Aug).

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated continued influence from a positive polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed ranged from 550-700 km/s over the period. Total field strength was steady near 6 nT. The Bz component was variable throughout the period. The phi angle was positive.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain enhanced due to CH HSS effects over the next three days (5-7 Aug).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field reached active levels due to CH HSS influences.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at unsettled to active levels on day one (05 Aug) due to continued influence from the positive polarity CH HSS mentioned above. Mostly unsettled levels are forecast on days two and three (06-07 Aug) as HSS effects begin to wane.
