Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2016 Jul 04 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. A filament eruption was observed near N35W28 beginning at approximately 03/1900 UTC in SDO AIA 304 imagery. However, no associated CMEs were observed in coronagraph imagery. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low throughout the forecast period (04-06 Jul).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels throughout the forecast period (04-06 Jul). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters continued to be slightly enhanced through the period under a negative polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed decreased from approximately 450 km/s to near 420 km/s. Total field was between 2 nT and 7 nT while the Bz component was variable between +6 nT and -5 nT. Phi angle was oriented in a negative (towards) sector.

Forecast: Solar wind speeds are expected to continue to be slightly enhanced through day one (04 Jul) due to diminishing negative polarity CH HSS effects. A return to nominal levels is expected by days two and three (05-06 Jul).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels on day one (04 Jul) as the CH HSS influences wane. Mostly quiet conditions are expected on days two and three (05-06 Jul) with a return to a nominal solar wind regime.
