Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2016 Jun 25 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at very low levels. A long-duration B4 flare was observed at 25/0315 UTC just beyond the NE limb near N20. Associated with the B4 flare was a CME off the NE limb observed in SOHO/LASCO C2 imagery beginning at 25/0312 UTC. No active region sunspots were observed in white light imagery. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low throughout the forecast period (25-27 Jun) with only a slight chance for C-class flares.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels over the next three days (25-27 Jun) and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected the continued but waning influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed reached a maximum of 565 km/s at 24/1750 UTC before slowly decreasing to near 470 km/s by the end of the period. Total field ranged from 1-6 nT while the Bz component was between +/-5 nT. Phi angle was consistently negative (towards) through the period.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain enhanced on days one and two (25-26 Jun) under the waning influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Nominal solar wind parameters are expected by day three (27 Jun).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled conditions.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled conditions for the remainder of the UTC day on day one (25 Jun) and continuing into day two (26 Jun) as CH HSS conditions slowly diminish. Mostly quiet conditions are expected by day three (27 Jun) with the return of a nominal solar wind regime.
