A G4-level geomagnetic storm is in progress, due to the passage of a coronal mass ejection. There exists a high probability for, and there exists current reports of, aurora (both visual and radio aurora). Frequencies in the six-meter band are reported as experiencing aurora-mode propagation. This condition may last for the next six hours.
The above plot is the forecast of auroral oval over the North Pole; this is current as of 1630 UTC. This gives you a rough idea of where you can see the Aurora. Live updates here: http://aurora.sunspotwatch.com

Another plot, this one of a different location, showing a K index of 8. This geomagnetic storm is strong enough to create wide-spread aurora visible even at lower latitudes. Hope for clear skies after dark, and that the storm continues long enough for you to see the aurora!
