To all:

Because the George Jacobs et al "New" shortwave propagation book (as
fine as it is) is aging in terms of InterNet references and newer
software availability, I went looking for other books on the topic.

Note: Apparently a revised edition of Jacobs is not in the works.

I ordered "Radio Propagation: Principles and Practice" by Poole (an
RSGB pub) selling for $29.95 plus shipping from ARRL. Sorry to say,
this book is basically introductory in nature, and is (in my opinion)
seriously overpriced (has less than 100 pages).

It has no bibliography and Internet and software references are few
and far between.

In contrast, the latest (21st Edition) of the ARRL Antenna Book
propagation chapter (thanks, Dean Straw) has much up-to-date and
useful propagation information, numerous bibliographic cites and much
InterNet and software info (as well as at least a lifetime's worth of
specific theoretical and practical antenna information hi).

73,

Warren KH6WM
