[Orion] Settings

The Original manual gave suggested settings, since then many updates have been 
made. My
preference settings would be for 160 optimal settings,not necessarily contest 
rather more
for DX. Is anyone brave enough to give updated suggestions?
I have had a problem with the AGC [I assume the AGC] popping in & out. A signal 
tuned may
all of a sudden drop out or down only to come back ms later Any suggestions
