Oh, you mean, the extra $50 for the reflector dish?
Yes, if you are more than 5mi w/ 5.7, or 7mi w/ 2.4, you need a dish.

You're forgetting to add the extra $125 for the reflector dish...

Or 5.2, or 2.4...
w/ 5.7 - 15mi
w/ 2.4 - 30mi
Thus the reason we have 100's of these, and only 40 KN.
We buy 100 at a time, finance them over 2-3 years, then "rent" them to the
customer. We charge $99 up front for install, then starting at $49.95/mo
and that includes the rental charge.
But this allows us to run a free install promo, sell 100 units, and REAP the
monthly recurring charges. Mmm...

Am I to understand that you are paying $275 for a CPE/ 5.8GHz? What sort
of range?
