Oh, so the latest 4.45 is not compatible with older hardware.
Wow, I wish we could release new untested software to the public, have it
break their systems, not know why, and not provide support for it after it
breaks.

That 3.20 or 3.70 displayed in the configurator when looking at the
Lucent AP-1000/AP-II hardware is not a firmware revision. It is a
hardware revision.
The 3.20 units have the BNC connector and a 10Mbit RJ-45 network port.
The 3.70 units have a DB-9 serial connector and a 10/100Mbit RJ-45
network port.
There are other differences including chipset and cpu speed.
