(Sorry to reply so late, I'm not good at paying attention to lists)

Two out of 30+ of the SMC cheapies so far have failed. One just stopped working properly, no indication of anything. KN-50 still detected and booted, just no link. The other failure instance had a small pencil-eraser-sized circular char mark on the radio card and the label was burned/melted and split and peeling back in that little area, too. Who knows what that one was, it happened in the middle of a clear day and the power supply was attached to a decent APC UPS. Random resistor failure or something perhaps.

So far so good I think. I'm pretty satisfied with the way they're working for me.

Have you had any radio failures w/ these higher powered radio's?

From then on I have used 180mW (marketed as 200mW) Prism 2.5 cards from SMC since they are the cheapest I can find for producing a big batch of CPE. I get them for about $60/each. They also have a detachable antenna so you don't get an antenna spewing your signal all over inside whatever enclosure it's in.
