Indeed.. pretty goofy.  Makes it pretty hard for us that have invested a lot of 
money into TC to continue with new products.

Wow.  That really limits where the  Atheros/TC system is going to go, IMO.
I'd been hoping that I could upgrade my 2.4GHz WIPOPs to .11g TC.
Apparently not, as I cannot support my existing customers with it.  It also
opens up the migration path to 5.2/.8 to other gear for TC WISPs, as there
is no (at this point) incentative  to stay with TC, as it doesn't have the
track record of say, Trango or Moto.  (That is, unless something becomes
apparent.)  But I remain hopeful, as TC .11b  at 2.4GHz is currently a very
low cost, scalable solution.
