Does the SEC that can be loaded on an RG-1000 handle multiple MAC
addresses? The reason I ask is that we have a unique client who has a
handful of computers that can all have private IP addresses and be
behind a router. But they have one computer which runs Windows
Encoder crap and needs to have a private IP. Putting the encoder
computer on the private LAN side and punching a hole in the router
for port mapping does not work. The encoder must be on a real
routable IP address. Currently, we have a TT/CPE installed in bridge
mode and each computer at the client has a public IP. I'd like to
replace the TT/CPE with something that bridges multiple MACs so that
the encoder has it's own IP and a router has another. Then all the
other computers fall on private IPs behind the router.
I'm asking about the RG-1000 and SEC because that's what I already
own and can install immediately. Other suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
