On a PC, the COM port is a 9-pin or 25-pin MALE receptacle. The LPT
port is a 25-pin FEMALE receptacle.
Buying an adapter does NOT solve the problem. They are two different
interfaces.
Your software SAYS that you have an LPT port *somewhere*. You need
to find out what kind of connector that goes out to.
