Actually Ken you are pretty much modern. Most modern day 'home' computers,
which is what 95% of us use, have one serial and one parallel port. I just
had to replace all our 'home' computers because of a lightening strike. The
parallel port works for CW and the serial port is free for rig control(or
whatever). The handwriting is on the wall, however, because all three of
these computers had 4 usb ports( 2 in front and 2 in back). Good luck...73 MAL N7MAL BULLHEAD CITY, AZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken Wolff" <ken@k1ea.com> To: "Rick Saeger" <k3oo@k3oo.com>; <ct-user@contesting.com> Sent: Thursday, November 11, 2004 15:23 Subject: Re: [ct-user] usb CW keying CTWIN It sounds like I have some work to do to get into the modern era. At present, CT-WIN accesses the LPT directly for CW sending. 73, Ken ------------Original Message------------ From: "Rick Saeger" <k3oo@k3oo.com> To: ct-user@contesting.com Date: Thu, Nov-11-2004 10:15 AM Subject: [ct-user] usb CW keying CTWIN _______________________________________________ CT-User mailing list CT-User@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/ct-user CT on the web: http://www.k1ea.com/ _______________________________________________ CT-User mailing list CT-User@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/ct-user CT on the web: http://www.k1ea.com/ |
