Hi Randy. What I did that worked, was:
- In the initial setup screens select "telnet"
- When you get to the setup screen where you select what is on each com
port, don't select anything for telnet.
- Once the program starts, I hit ALT-T. I hit ENTER. Then I typed in the
telnet site I wanted. It worked great.

Subject: [ct-user] CTWin & Telnet spots
I've installed CTWin 9.81.002 on a Windows 98 machine with a DSL internet
connection, but I keep getting error msgs like "Could not open
HTTP://OH2AQ.KOLUMBUS.COM/DXS/"
I haven't entered anything in the setup screen. What am I missing to get
the dx spots into CTWin off the internet?

How do you find the address to dxtelnet or other recommended telnet for
CTWIN? When I hit alt-T I get the packet window. Is that where I type in the
address?
In the setup screen, where I would normally set the baud rate, etc for
radio, and tnc, do I leave my com1 port blank for telnet?
Packet system doesn't work too well hr during a contest. Thought I would try
telnet.
Tnx

Turn off dxtelnet. Configure tnc as 'telnet' in ct setup screen. after
ct starts do alt-t to open the cluster window and hit enter, it will
prompt for the address to telnet to, enter that and hit enter... done.
