Hi,
I need your help if possible.
I am looking since several months without success for a Multi-Com port
offering 8 serial port all configurable to be used with our lovely software.
I mean WRITELOG, LOGIC and CT. I guess with the first 2 software there
would not exist problems at all, as they run on WIN98. The problem could
arise with CT. Here below the URL of Byterunner showing a lot of cards for
that purpose. Has anyone of you who should point me to the correct one? I
need 8 serial ports (2 radio's 2 rotators, TNC's..and so on).
Here the 2 exact URL's for ISA and PCI cards they offer. May you give a
look at those page and referring your opinions? I'd prefer a new PCI
standard but even the old ISA could work.
ISA:
http://www.byterunner.com/cgi-bin/webcart/webcart.cgi?CONFIG=mountain&CHANGE=YES&NEXTPAGE=prod4.htm&CODE=123
PCI:
http://www.byterunner.com/cgi-bin/webcart/webcart.cgi?CONFIG=mountain&CHANGE=YES&NEXTPAGE=prod7.htm&CODE=123
The PCI's one shows only the choice for a 9 or 25 DB socket but I could
arrange an interface easily.....for ISA one's is..a nightmare....
I guess a TC-800-S5-8 should work. I have only ISA slot on my pentium
computer, now with a LPT2, but I could easily free it moving CW to serial port.
If you want the URL with all the cards here it's:
http://www.byterunner.com/cgi-bin/webcart/webcart.cgi?ENTER=YES&CONFIG=mountain
Of course, if another brand should work, I shall be happy to move my
choice, but at moment ByteRunner seems the cheaper.
Below also the URL of DigiBoard, but practically, it's difficult moving
through a mass of strange and unknown equipment.

Again THANKFULLY
Sante
