Hi Eric, Well If you're trying to hook it to your computer you will need a level conversion unit. The 940 puts out TTL voltages, not RS-232. You need a Kenwood IF-232C or you can get a cheaper one that works from W1GEE, search yahoo/lycos for either IF-10B or W1GEE and you should come up with the link. The voltages sound good to me.
