Hi friends, My notebook (IBM Thinkpad) has only one serial port. It has a dual PCMCIA port ( 2 Type 2 or 1 type 3) an 1 USB port. The OS is Win98. My questions: 1, What is the best device to get additional COM ports ? A PCMCIA Serial Extender? What brand ? What shall I look at when selecting one ? 3, Can I use the PCMCIA serial cards in MS-DOS mode ? Please respond directly and I will summarize to the reflector. Thank you in advance, 73 de Zoli HA1AG (E44/HA1AG, JT1X, JU1HA) -- Submissions: ct-user@contesting.com Administrative requests: ct-user-REQUEST@contesting.com WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ct/ Questions: owner-ct-user@contesting.com |
