<Ctrl-f10> *only* crashes my copy of 9.40 if no QSOs have been logged.  
After the first QSO, it no longer crashes, but puts a helpful beam
heading at the bottom of the screen and doesn't hang or any other
impolite behaviour.  
It's not a problem, it's a feature!
