Yeah, I don't use my PTT line (I use VOX instead) and had no problems with
RPT in 9.38.
BTW, Kenwood rigs, at least the TS950SDX, assert a continuous carrier when
in full break-in mode and PTT is activated. That doesn't happen when in semi
break-in mode. I guess they did this to give you a "tune" button without
putting one on the radio. I'd probably run full break-in all the time
because it prevents unnecessary repeats (e.g., I repeat something twice and
the other station cuts me off after the first one.) But I've found that
running stations in full break-in during long CW contests is killer on the
eardrums. So, I use semi break-in for running and full break-in for chasing
multipliers. Due to the Kenwood PTT problem, I had to disable the LPT-keyed
PTT line so full break-in would work. Fortunately, I use a solid-state
switching interface between the rig and the amp, and the amp has PIN diode
QSK, so there's no timing problem.
