Many thanks to all who responded to my query. The consensus seems to be to use either TS440, TS940 or TS950. And yes, I have a homemade RS232/TTL interface, using MAX232 IC (schematic courtesy of 5B4WN - thanks). Seems that new possibilities are opening for me in my pursuit of higher scores in contests.
