It happens when you write CQWW logs for a Multi-Single operation.  CQ
requires you to send separate logs for the RUN and MULTIPLIER
stations.
These files are denoted file_R and file_M on the disk, where 'file' is
the base CT file name.  I believe CT is smart enough, however, to
truncate a base file name that is too long to just 6 characters before
appending the "_R" or "_M".
