Competitive contester Tim Duffy K3LR has plenty of experience operating in the
World Radiosport Team Championship but this year he attended as an observer. Of
course, even as an observer he couldn't keep his hands off a radio. While in
Italy, Tim operated from IK2YCW's mega station and made over 400 QSO's with the
58 competitors. In our conversation, Tim offers his unique perspective about
this year's event and specifically about the decision to put competitors inside
bed and breakfast type accommodations rather than tents. You can see photos of
several of those operating locations in the video.
